On Saturday 20th April, the Goldsworth Park Safer Neighbourhood Team are holding a community fundraising day to raise money for the Goldsworth Park Community Association charity: The Goldsworth Park Big Pull Together.
The GPCA is a community-based charity that runs the community centre at Goldwater Lodge for the residents of Goldsworth Park and host annual events and competitions, and produce the local newsletter. Unfortunately in early December 2012 their community centre and Toad Hall Nursery was victim to arson and suffered extensive damage. Since then the hall has been unusable leaving the GPCA without a home.
The aim of the Goldsworth Park Big Pull Together is to bring local residents together, increase fire safety awareness and raise money for the GPCA charity which has given so much to the community.
The Goldsworth Park Big Pull Together will be running from 11am till 4pm on Saturday 20th April at Goldsworth Park Lake with several fun attractions on the day.
- Time Trial event towing a police van 1 mile around Goldsworth Park Lake between Surrey Police, Surrey Fire and Rescue, Woking Borough Council and Waitrose
- Chip pan fire safety demonstrations from Surrey Fire and Rescue
- Bouncy Castles

- Bicycle Races with Charlotteville Rascals for children and young people
